Deposit Requirement

Late Arrival Policy
If you do not arrive at the meeting point by:
- 08:45 (Morning rental)
- 15:15 (Evening rental) and you have not contacted us via phone or SMS to notify us of your delay, SantiMaris Boat Rental reserves the right to offer the boat to another customer. In such cases, the 30% deposit will not be refunded.

Age Restrictions
Please note that only individuals aged 23 or older are permitted to operate the boat, as outlined in Section 1 of these Rental Terms.
Time Restrictions
All rentals are daylight only. Boats are not licensed or insured for nighttime use. Therefore, vessels must not be operated after dusk.
Late Return & Liability
Returning the boat after the agreed time (except in the case of mechanical failure) will result in extra rental charges. Customers will also be held liable for any damage to the boat, its engines, equipment, or belongings caused by misuse, negligence, or unreasonable behavior.
Return Condition
The boat must be returned in the same condition as when it was handed over. Any notable damage, uncleanliness, or loss/damage of equipment may result in additional charges.
Safety and Responsibility
Boating is a wonderful experience, but it requires awareness and responsibility. While SantiMaris Boat Rental takes reasonable precautions by providing well-prepared vessels and safety equipment, you are ultimately responsible for:
- Your own safety
- The safety of others affected by your actions
- The proper and safe return of the boat and all equipment
You agree to reimburse SantiMaris Boat Rental for any loss or damage caused by your actions or failure to follow instructions.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of €400 (held, not charged) will be authorized on your card at the time of check-in. This deposit ensures that the boat will be returned on time and in the same condition it was delivered— undamaged, and with all equipment accounted for. The amount will be released immediately upon inspection and confirmation that the boat has been returned as received.

The Customer Agrees and Accepts

Return in the Received Condition
The boat must be returned in the same condition as it was received. The customer is fully responsible for any damage caused to the boat, outboard engines, or equipment due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety instructions. This includes any loss or damage to onboard equipment.
Return Time
Customers must return the boat no later than the agreed return time. If you expect to be late, please contact SantiMaris Boat Rental as early as possible to inform us of your estimated return time.
Late returns without notice may result in additional charges.
Early Returns
If you return the boat earlier than scheduled, please note that this does not entitle you to a refund. The agreed rental period remains in effect unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement.
Distance Limit
When you rent a boat in Santorini, please remain within the legal distance of up to 3 nautical miles (3NM) from the coastline. This restriction ensures your safety and complies with local maritime regulations.
Operation by Designated Customer Only
Only the designated customer/operator—the person officially declared at the time of rental—is allowed to operate or handle the boat. This rule exists for the safety of all passengers and is strictly enforced.
Stay Within Santorini Island
All customers who rent a boat in Santorini must remain within the perimeter of Santorini Island. Sailing outside the island’s waters is not permitted under the rental agreement.
Responsibility for Party Members
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all passengers on board are aware of and comply with these rental terms. Everyone in your group must follow the safety instructions and guidelines provided during the pre-departure briefing.
Pickup & Return Location
All boat deliveries and returns take place at Vlichada Marina, the official base of SantiMaris Boat Rental. Directions and instructions will be provided upon booking.
